Koimtzoglou-Bakalis-Venieris-Leventis and Associates (KBVL Law Firm, Member of Deloitte Legal Network), is currently looking for a brilliant Junior Associate to join its dynamic and highly motivating legal practice in Athens. You will join a busy, growing team dealing with a diversified client portfolio and a varied caseload including corporate restructurings, dealing with tax and succession planning of HNWIs and tax advice. There will be opportunities to take on both transactional and advisory work.
Role and Responsibilities
Your role as a Junior Associate will focus on the delivery of client engagements, exercising effective communication and relationship-building skills, as well as contributing to the priorities of the team. In this role, you will commit to personal learning and development, and explore opportunities to make an impact by delivering exceptional legal services.
During your tenure you will demonstrate and develop the ability to:
- provide legal solutions to highly complex legal issues while delivering a high quality experience
- provide legal advice relating to:
- Taxation of individuals and, in particular, income, real estate, gift and inheritance taxation
- Shipping taxation
- Corporate asset restructuring
- International tax planning and implementation of asset structures
- Succession planning of individuals with a focus on inheritance law and civil law issues
- Trusts/Foundations
- Structuring of charitable activities
- Common Reporting Standard (CRS)
- conduct of legal research and analysis.
OUR REQUIREMENTS

In particular, to qualify for the role you must have:
- qualified as an Attorney-at-Law in Greece (Athens Bar Association or other Bar Association membership)
- minimum one (1) and up to four (4) years of relevant work experience
- a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax and/ or Civil Law from a prominent, well-acclaimed University in Greece or abroad will be considered an asset
- Previous experience in tax law will be a plus
- an excellent command of the English language
- Organizational skills and capacity to be detail – oriented
- Ability to conduct legal research, interpret legislation and case law
Preferred skills:
- Previous experience in civil law (especially inheritance law) and corporate law; Diploma/ Seminars in tax law.
