The website www.kbvl.gr (hereinafter the “Website”) belongs to Koimtzoglou-Bakalis-Venieris-Leventis & Associates Law Partnership (hereinafter “KBVL Law Firm” or “We”) and aims at providing information on Our services to the visitors of the Website. In this context, KBVL Law Firm with its registered office at 3a Fragkoklissias & Granikou str., 15125, Maroussi, Athens, Greece is according to the applicable legislation the Data Controller of your personal data, as collected through the Website.

  • Identification information, such as: name, any company or other affiliation you may have

d) When you sign up for Our newsletter

  • E-mail preferences, such as legal fields of interest 

We also collect and further process information, which is necessary for the proper functioning of the Website, including your IP address, as well as information on your device and browsing, as collected through internet trackers such as cookies. For what purposes do we process personal data?

Depending on which Website features you use, We will process your personal data for the following purposes: 

a) When you contact us 

Our Website provides you with the information necessary, in order for you to be able to contact Us through an email, post mail or phone call. If you contact Us for any matter, We will process the information you provide Us with, in order to respond to you and handle any message, request, information or query that you have communicated to Us. It is in Our legitimate interests to handle such a communication and properly respond to you.  

b) When you apply for a job with us 

Our Website enables you to apply for a job position, by filling in an online application form and submitting your CV. We will process such data, in order to pre-contractually assess your qualifications and process your application. You will find detailed information about this processing operation, by accessing the Candidates’ Privacy Notice. 

c) When you submit an RfP form 

Our Website enables you to fill in and submit a Request for Proposal (RfP) form. In this case, We collect and further process the personal data of contact persons included in such a form. The processing of your data is based on Our legitimate interests to be able to contact prospective clients’ representatives, in order to respond to a Request for Proposal and ultimately to enter into a contract with the company/organization you represent.    

d) When you sign up for our newsletter 

If you sign up for Our newsletter, We will collect and further process your email address and your email preferences, as these have been indicated by you, in order to send you Our newsletters and legal updates. We will processed such data based on your consent, as provided via the relevant subscription form. You may withdraw your consent for receiving such communications by Us, by using the “Unsubscribe” link that you will find in each of Our newsletters or by directly contacting Us. In case you withdraw your consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out previously.  

With whom do we share your personal data?

Apart from Our authorized personnel, your data may be disclosed to other member firms of the Deloitte Network, especially in case of a Request for Proposal where other Deloitte Network legal entities may be involved. Moreover, your data may be disclosed to Our website operator, online forms providers, corporate communications management companies and relevant suppliers who provide Us with services related to the purposes described above and which are bound to comply with all necessary technical and organizational measures for the protection of your personal data.  

In addition, your data may be processed by partnering cloud storage companies in the EU.

How does KBVL Law Firm protect your personal data?

We have implemented all appropriate organizational and technical measures, pursuant to the applicable legal framework and standards, in order to safeguard that processing of data is legitimate, appropriate and secured against any non-authorized or illegal access, deletion, amendment or any other use of the data. 

How long is your personal data retained?

Your personal data is retained for as long as this is required for the fulfillment of each processing purpose. For example, your job application will be retained for a period of six (6) months and your newsletter subscription data until you withdraw any consent given. Upon expiration of these terms, your personal data will be deleted, unless otherwise required under the applicable legal and regulatory framework or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. 

What are your rights?

In any case, We would like to inform you that, in accordance with the applicable legislation, you have and can exercise the following rights: 

  • the right to access your personal data, as well as to receive information about their processing, 

  • the right to correction of any inaccurate or completion of any incomplete personal data, 

  • the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), 

  • the right to restrict the processing of your personal data,  

  • the right to data portability, including having your data directly transferred to another controller or receiving them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (e.g. USB), 

  • the right to object to the processing of your personal data,  

  • the right to withdraw any consent you have given, at any time and free of charge. 

You may exercise any of the above rights by submitting a request to Us. You can expect a response to such a request within one (1) month following reception thereof and in any case, within two (2) additional months, if this is required due to the complexity of your request or the total number of requests received.
